BREAKING NEWS The federal budget deficit is growing faster than expected and will top $1 trillion next year, as President Trump considers more spending. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 11:12 AM EST The deficit will reach $960 billion for the 2019 fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30, the Congressional Budget Office said in updated forecasts released on Wednesday morning.
